Fredericksburg Texas propertyHave you found yourself wondering if Fredericksburg Texas property may be in your cards?  Rich heritage, recreation, climate and low cost of living entice newcomers into faraway Texas Hill Country.  Are you one of them?

To fulfill your lifestyle and family needs, it pays to tour the many varieties of Texas real estate found in the Hill Country.  We do have historic properties downtown, some are Bed & Breakfasts.  Subdivisions in town or rural, some with low maintenance options.  In Hill Country, more land is zoned equestrian than not.  There are ranches, farms, and golf course properties with big views.  This may be the best place to build your own dream home on five acres or 20.

Our full-service community is the seat of Gillespie County.  Everything you need is right here and any the extras are only an hour away in Austin or San Antonio.  Entertainment and all.  How about live music and live theater?  Wine tasting, anyone?  The Texas Wine Trail passes through.  Vineyards, peach orchards, and Wildseed Farms nestle into the outlying areas.  Family friendly events and festivals are held throughout the year.

Vereins Kirche Museum

Although Fredericksburg is a small town 11,000 residents, it is not a new town.  Its interesting lifespan can be charted by visiting the wonderful historic districts and awesome museums.  In conjunction with the iconic Vereins Kirche Museum, the old community church in the heart of the city, they certainly add depth and culture to Fredericksburg.  Founded in the mid-1800s, the Sauer Beckmann Living History Farm shows how far we’ve been.  The Nimitz Museum pays tribute to a local resident, Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, who also inspired the local site of the National Museum of the Pacific War.  The Texas White House, home of President Lyndon B. Johnson is nearby in Stonewall, too.

Recreation, Fresh Air, Great Climate

And Fredericksburg can be a seasonal or weekend escape.  Do you long to get your hands dirty on a farm.  Full-service vacations at Boot Ranch Golf Course to cottages for weekends away from the city—we have many choices.

Fredericksburg Texas propertyIf you live in Austin, why head to the beautiful rolling hills to your west?  For starters, the slower pace allows time for deep breathing.  And the hills provide a higher altitude with cooler summers than those in the Texas metro areas.  Ride bicycles past the fields of spring bluebonnets.  Tee off at Lady Bird Golf Course or picnic in the park.

Low Cost of Living

The regional cost of living is 10 percent lower that the United States average.  In fact, by some accounts, the Hill Country can brag about holding the lowest cost of living in the nation.  Fredericksburg’s housing comes in at 130, with 100 being the average.  But grocery ranks 87, healthcare 96, utilities 95, and transportation 98.  Livability ranks Fredericksburg with A+ amenities and crime rate, A for weather, A for education, and B for cost of living, most likely because of newer housing on large lots!  There is a niche for everyone.
