The Alamo, site of one of the most notable battles in the nation's history, tops the list of San Antonio attractions.  A memorable day at shops and restaurants of the internationally renowned Riverwalk is special on foot or floating along on the San Antonio River.  Housing over 3,500 animals, the San Antonio Zoo is one of the largest in the United States.  SeaWorld San Antonio offers something for everyone, with marine life shows, displays, adventure camps, rides, and a water park.

Since opening during the 1968 World's Fair, the Tower of the Americas at HemisFair Park continues to draw visitors.  Six Flags Fiesta Texas is the only floorless roller coaster in the southwest.  It features over 100 rides, shows, and a water park to cool off in during summer months.  Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum features eight galleries of odd and unusual displays.  It is located next to the Plaza Wax Museum and more than 250 wax replicas of historical figures and celebrities.

On a leisurely morning, guests can browse the gift shops, artisan studios, attractions, and restaurants at La Villita, one of the original neighborhoods in old San Antonio.  Built during the 17th through the 19th centuries and preserved today, four historic landmark missions--the San Jose, San Juan, Espada, and Concepcion missions--are located at the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park.  Older still are the Cascade Caverns tucked beneath the surface of the Hill Country with their 100-foot, underground waterfall.

Wine and dine in the vineyards of Fredericksburg, the perfect place to indulge in culinary delights and to glimpse a bit of local Texas history.  Several notable wineries offer tastings within the city limits:  Bell Mountain Vineyards, Becker Vineyards, Oberhof Wine Cellars at Das Peach Haus, and the Torre di Pietra.   Spending the night in the pages of history, plan to relax in one of the top-notch day spas that specialize in holistic or modern experiences.
