Seven miles south of historic Main Street Fredericksburg real estate and close to Kerrville recreation, the High River Ranch development offers 24 beautiful home sites of four to seven acres.  Texas homes on the banks of the Pedernales River in the High River Ranch development are located smack in the heart of real estate in Texas Hill Country.  Amenities in the Fredericksburg region begin in the friendly authentic German village and reach far into picturesque Texas ranches.

High River Ranch properties are for owner use of single-family homes.  A sample custom luxury Hill Country home for sale on five acres in High River Ranch sells for under $1M.  The scenic Texas Hill Country real estate includes river-view lots and scenic-view lots beginning at $175,000.  High River Ranch covenants also permit one or two horses on parcels of five acres or more.  The Fredericksburg TX homes built in High River Ranch must be a minimum of 2,250 square feet, excluding porches, and blend with the aesthetics of the Hill Country.  Guesthouses are limited to 1,250 square feet.

The Homeowner Association at High River Ranch ensures the maintenance of community property values by restricting certain activities that are outside of the vision for property use.  Owners may operate small businesses from their homes.  One RV can remain on the property only during construction of the main home, up to eight months.  Otherwise, travel and recreational vehicles need to be enclosed.

Top-rated schools from the Fredericksburg, Harper, Stonewall, and doss schools in Gillespie County offer quality classrooms, gifted and talented classes, and vocational and technical courses.  Education has been a priority in the community ever since the founding in 1846 by German colonists led by John O. Meusebach.  In addition, quality medical facilities from the non-profit Hill Country Memorial Hospital service residents of the area.

An industrious citizenry farmed, ranched, manufactured, and worked its way through several difficult historical eras encompassing battles with Native Americans, the Civil War, and the Depression.  The community features several excellent museums detailing the history and is home to the only museum solely dedicated to World War II.  It is a major stop through on the Hill Country Wine Tour and features exceptional restaurants and shops.

Elaborate traditional events and festivals light up the community several times a year: Wild Game Dinner, Damenfest, Easter Fires Pageant, Founders Day, Night in Old Fredericksburg, Oktoberfest, Kristkindle Market, and Candlelight Homes Tour to name several.  The Gillespie County Fairgrounds hosts the annual fair, Fourth of July, a major hunter-jumper horse show, and much more.

From the interstate, proceed 17 miles north of Interstate 10 towards Kerrville.  Turn on Pfiester Road and continue a half mile to the High River Ranch subdivision.
